The Introduction to Competitive Program is for those swimmers being introduced to competitive swimming. Swimmers should be able to swim two lengths of a 25 yard/meter pool without stopping and be comfortable in deep water. All four competitive strokes (Freestyle, Backstroke, Breaststroke and Butterfly) will be taught as swimmers are ready, as well as technical elements of racing (starts and turns). Each practice includes a dry land training portion to develop fitness, core strength, rhythm, and flexibility.
Each session is approximately 10 weeks long.
